Oregon Coast Wedding | Pacific City | April & Chris
When your grandma’s maiden name is the same as the only road that leads into Pacific City, you just have to get married at her beach house, right? That was the case for April & Chris so Rachel & I made the trek out to Pacific City for the weekend to be a part of this special day. We rented a house close to the wedding location and brought along Rachel’s parents and some more of her family. We made a weekend out of it and loved our time there, plus, we needed someone to watch our son Kellen during the event…
I think the most impressive thing for me was the fact that Chris went out to Pacific City multiple times before the wedding to build this amazing gazebo on the edge of the cliff in the backyard. It was a perfect spot for them to get married overlooking the bay. The view was just incredible and you could even see people in canoes and kayaks paddling around the bay during the ceremony. Beautiful.
Then, the rain came. And, it stayed pretty decent somehow. Not sure what the deal was, but for whatever reason, it never became more than a heavy mist. It actually felt really nice for temperature and mist gave a sort of atmospheric vibe to some of the shots. Hhhmm, not what any of us were expecting but it turned out all right. The reception was a blast, with plenty of dancing, some mock rock to Britney Spears, and tons of laughs to go around. Here’s some more imagery for all you “blog-stalkers” out there. Enjoy (and maybe leave a comment or two every once in a while)!
