Noti Wedding | Private Residence | Meg & John-Mark
Last September, we experienced some crazy weather here in Eugene, Oregon. We had over 7″ of rain in that month alone; quite drastic compared to the average precipitation of less than 1″ historically. And, of course, we had weddings scheduled. Lots of them.
Meg & John-Mark hosted their wedding on a family property in Noti, Oregon. The couple is from San Francisco but wanted to have the wedding up here with family. Consider it a sort of destination family wedding in Noti. Yes, Noti. You heard that right. Not the greatest town on Earth, but this was an amazing property with a high volume organic CSA farm, incredible views, no neighbors, great hills, an open-sided barn that I’m pretty sure was originally designed to host wedding receptions, and an incredible field perfect for the ceremony. Only problem, rain. So much rain.
Luckily all the guests, family, and wedding party understood the weather circumstances and showed some great patience. The wedding party was so fun to photograph and hang out with and they had a blast despite some unpleasant weather. We had a good period of sun (sort of) and decided to tromp through the wet grass to get some decent outdoor photos. All in all, things worked out great and Meg & John-Mark’s wedding day was very memorable.
The reception was a blast and really couldn’t have been more fun for everyone. Dancing, crazy antics, lots of goofy people, photobooth props that somehow made it out to the dance floor, a great DJ, some really good food from Our Daily Bread, and a few drinks made for some real lively photos. Enjoy!
