Newport Oregon Wedding | Lacey & Ricky | Yaquina Head

Every once in a while you get to be a part of wedding that is really special beyond the rest. I’m still not sure what it was about Lacey & Ricky’s wedding but I just felt the connection. This couple is so amazing and it was a true honor to shoot their wedding in Newport at the Yaquina Head Lighthouse. There was less than 25 people involved in the whole day and what they did was truly unique. The couple and their families are from Washington but they wanted to get away from everything for the ceremony so they chose the Oregon Coast. The location and the style of everything really fit well for this couple! They rented a big vacation home and had the family reception there afterwards. The ceremony was inside the lighthouse with standing room only for the guests. Some were standing at the bottom of the lighthouse while others were on the stairs just above the first level. It was really cool! The only thing not so easy to deal with was the wind. Seriously, some of the craziest wind I’ve ever shot photos in. We had to time everything just right to make sure outdoor photos didn’t look chaotic. So, without further ado, photos from Lacey & Ricky’s wedding at Yaquina Head.
