Kaiti and John are such an amazing couple! They are a ton of fun, hilarious, inspiring, and all around great people. They hired us to fly to Las Vegas and shoot photos for their wedding day. The great thing though, is that we got to come to the ceremony as guests too!

Many venues in Vegas, including The Wynn, hire Las Vegas wedding photographers or even have them on staff to shoot the ceremony and some creatives. This wedding package supplied a photographer for the ceremony but that was it. So, Kaiti and John asked us to come to Vegas and shoot everything else. We captured some getting ready photos, pre-wedding preparations, and a few portraits, then attended the ceremony as guests. Rightfully so too, because this couple is considered good friends! After the ceremony we hopped on a party bus with the entire wedding party and headed over to the Las Vegas sign for some creatives with everyone. We used a couple of off-camera flashes to get the lighting balanced with the sign, and then I cloned out the distracting business signs in the background in post-production.

After that we were on our way to the Apex Suite at Planet Hollywood. The Apex is an enormous suite that I’m sure was made just for hotel parties. Hotel room party with way too many people in one giant room, a dj, amazing food, a full bar, and a group of people that are more than willing to have tons of fun?;.. sign me up! That was a blast.

So yeah, like I said before, no ceremony for us on this one. Just use your brains and pretend…
