Eugene Wedding Photographer | Sweet Cheeks Winery | Kerry & Nathan
There’s a ton to say about this one, but I’ll try my best to keep the blog post simple enough. Kerry & Nathan were married on a Tuesday at Sweet Cheeks Winery, one of our favorite places to shoot just outside of Eugene, OR. Yeah, on a Tuesday. Weird, huh? Not when another family member is getting married on the same weekend in Colorado and you want to make sure that all of your family, who lives in Kentucky, can make both weddings. That sounds like a really fun trip to me! So, the family made the journey to Oregon, and Kerry and Nathan were married.
And, good thing family made it, because this wedding was awesome! Small crowd, mostly family, at an incredible wedding venue, and plenty of time for photography mixed throughout.
I showed up in Veneta to photograph the guys getting ready and we decided to go to a basketball court and get some shots of them in their custom made Kentucky basketball jerseys. Definitely worth it!
Then, the guys started getting ready at the house and shortly after, I headed to Sweet Cheeks.
I showed up and photographed the girls getting ready and some of the final preparations. The great thing with Sweet Cheeks is that you really don’t have to do very much, it looks amazing as is. If you’re planning a wedding and want to check out this venue contact Mallory at Sweet Cheeks for more info. She’s great, she’ll take care of you.
Then, on to the first look. We set up a first look with Kerry & Nathan in the vineyard. Kerry walked up behind Nathan and surprised him. It was really sweet. The interesting thing here is that we had two photographers (myself & Rachel) as well as two videographers (Keith & Nathan from Mneme Media) all in this narrow vineyard aisle. Can’t tell though, can you?
Next, creatives with the bridal party and whatnot. We had a really good time and loved getting to photograph some with the props that the girls brought. The parasols were perfect for the location too!
After that, we did some of the family photos and then started shooting details before the ceremony. The ceremony was pretty rad! We definitely a great scene in front of us with plenty of perfect emotion. Absolutely loved it! My favorite part was when Kerry started to tear up during her vows and Nathan gently placed his arm on her shoulder. It was really sweet.
After the ceremony, a few more creatives with the bridal party and the ring-bearer Maggie.
Then, on to the reception until the end of the night.
Thanks Kerry & Nathan for having us photograph your wedding! You truly are an awesome couple and we’re so happy to get to know you a bit and to share in your special day!
