Beazell Memorial Forest Wedding | Philomath Oregon | Gillian & Andrew
I was so excited to finally get to shoot photos for a Beazell Memorial Forest Wedding near Philomath Oregon! This place is magic! Gillian and Andrew chose their wedding venue well.
I first met these two at Kayla & Cody’s wedding at the incredible Zenith Vineyard near Dallas Oregon. Gillian was in the wedding party and her fiance was Kayla’s brother. So, long story short; that wedding was amazing, it got published everywhere, and Gillian inquired about photographing her wedding at the Beazell Memorial Forest the following year. Gillian put together much of the same team and it was so nice to work with familiar faces!
The location was perfect and we had a warmer than average day in May. We found shade for photos, explored the property plenty, and made use of some of the amazing trails through the forest. One of my favorite moments of the day was when Andrew walked to the first look location blindfolded to make sure their moment was extra special! The couple chose cheese plates instead of flower arrangements for their centerpieces, and come on, everyone knows a centerpiece that’s edible is way better than one that’s sniffable!
Their ceremony was in front of an arbor that Andrew built himself (he also made the bar!) and decorated with lush hanging Wisteria flowers, it was beautiful. Mossy accents with candles, surprise family dances, photo slideshow from when these two were kiddos, sweet toasts, and plenty of dancing all made for a perfect night for this Beazell Memorial Forest wedding!

Such a beautiful setting for a May wedding in Oregon!
The groom actually made this mirror for the bride too, who is this guy?!
One of my favorite moments at every wedding, we call it “intermission” where the bride and groom just get to go off by themselves and be alone for a bit right after they get married. With a few photos from a distance of course!
