Arianne & Mike | Private Residence Gresham, OR
Well, back to blogging our photo sessions, finally! Things got a bit crazy during the peak of our wedding season. So many, clients, so little time, so much work to do, always. This wedding season has been an incredible one for us! We’ve shot more weddings outside of the Eugene/Springfield area than in it, so we’ve been traveling a lot. Our business is growing so quick and we’re really expanding our geographical client base. We’re so blessed to be able to do what we love and somehow make a living doing so!
So, the blog. We’re back, for real. We’ll be posting a blog entry for every photo session we’ve done this summer. Granted, that may take until the end of the year since we’ve been shooting so much! But, it will happen. We got Sheena & Johnny’s wedding up last week, and now we’re moving on to our 2nd wedding of the season: Arianne & Mike.
This couple is so awesome! I shot their engagement session when they came down to Eugene to run the Eugene Marathon. Oh, you know, photos one day, marathon the next. What the heck? That’s awesome! Truly a unique couple, super nice too! It was a pleasure to be a part of their wedding day.
Arianne & Mike were married in Gresham, OR at Mike’s sister’s beautiful property. They had a small ceremony for family only and then friends were invited to the reception to celebrate. It was really amazing being accepted into this family only ceremony and getting to shoot photos of such an intimate event! My favorite part was easily the vows written by Arianne & Mike in a Dr-Seuss-style. It was incredible. And the setting was perfect.
The reception was a bunch of hand-crafted items for decor and a nice setup all around. Candles in mason jars throughout the garden, great flower arrangements, etc. And, they home-brewed their own beer for the reception. Three varieties, each with it’s own name. Wish I wasn’t working this one, I’m always up to try some homemade beer. Oh well, I”m sure the guests enjoyed themselves!
