Shadow Hills Wedding | Eugene Oregon Wedding Photographer | Jessica & Jake
I’ve been really wanting to blog this wedding lately seeing how I didn’t have a single Shadow Hills wedding on my blog and it’s one of my absolute favorite places to shoot in the Eugene area! So, been getting a few inquires for Shadow Hills Country Club lately and decided I needed to make the time for this post. The only issue is that there’s a lot to say!
First off though, let’s get those vendors listed since they were completely amazing! Obviously the venue is Shadow Hills Country Club and they have an amazing spot on the edge of Eugene. Planning and coordination by one of the very best, Manda from Sue Blue Events, she’s from Portland but she goes anywhere and she does a phenomenal job. Florals by Passionflower, cake by Sweet Life Patisserie, cupcakes by The Rad Baker, DJ Only The Best Sound, and lamb provided by the groom’s company Anderson Ranches.
Now for some stories! Jessica and Jake’s day was a perfect Shadow Hills wedding in my opinion but at one point prior to the ceremony it looked like things could get a little rough. Of course with this crew we still would have had plenty of fun and made the day perfect! But, that September Oregon rain. It hit hard and really unexpectedly! We had people moving tables, covering decorations, running for shelter, moving sound equipment under cover; it was craziness!
But, as soon as the rain stopped and the ceremony started, the couple were married under a rainbow. Actually, it was more of a double rainbow all the way across the sky if you know what I mean. #oregon for the win. The ceremony was beautiful and the storm clouds in the sky made for such a nice backdrop along with the full on giant rainbow.
Later on, dancing was so fun, the first dance was very romantic with some incredible lighting on a stormy night outdoors, and the crew at this one was ready to party. Still can’t tell you if they were legit farmhands or country hipsters but I’ll take it either way.
Now, some photos. Lots of them.
