It’s not very often that we get to photograph an outdoor wedding ceremony in January! That’s a great thing about Lewis & Clark Catering in Eugene, the covered area with heaters for the guest. This was our third wedding there in 5 weeks. Wow.

Kelsey & Jeremy are an awesome couple! We had a great time at their wedding and were truly blown away by how nice everyone was and how relaxed the wedding was. Loved it! It might have been the coldest photo session I’ve ever done, which is crazy considering some of the photo sessions we’ve done in the snow. Sub-30 degree temps and no gloves equals freezing hands and shaky cameras. We still managed though!

It’s not very often that I do this, but I wanted to show off multiple versions of this amazing image by Rachel Rainey. If you don’t know much about how we do our post-processing (digital editing), this is a great example. First, we edit the ridiculous number of images down to something manageable; say, 4500 down to 800 or so. Then we edit tones, color, contrast, etc, etc to make each shot look the best that it can. Next, we’ll take our favorites and create some alternate versions like black and white, sepia, cross-processed, etc so that you have multiple versions of the best images. Like below.
