Eugene Oregon Wedding Photographer | Lewis & Clark | Marissa & Mike
This has got to be the most unique wedding we’ve every shot. A dinosaur themed winter wedding in Eugene at Lewis and Clark Catering. We love the originality here, and we had a great time getting to capture some memories for this interesting couple.
First, the party favors were awesome! Handmade soap that the couple whipped up for the wedding. Incredible stuff. It makes a lot more sense too when you find out that Mike is a chemistry professor at the University of oregon and Marissa is a scientist as well. And, dinosaur figurines on every table, bunches of them.
And then they used beakers for part of the decor, sweet!
And then, the rain came. I guess that’s why we call it Oregon. Wait, that doesn’t really make much sense. Or, does it? It down-poured. Crazy rain.
Good thing the wedding was under cover. The ceremony went off without a hitch. Yes, still dinosaur themed here, even the bride walking down the aisle.
And this was one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen at a wedding. The couple mixed together two chemicals that interact in the beaker to change colors from yellow to blue and then it repeats over and over. Way better than a sand ceremony or a unity candle in my opinion, yet with the same meaning. This was really unique. You won’t see this on Pinterest, that’s for sure. Well, maybe now you will, if you pin it.

I would love to know what chemicals they used for their unity ceremony! My fiance and I are scientists and we want to do something similar.
I would love to know too but I don’t have their current contact info!
