Finally getting to blog my absolute favorite wedding of 2017, Heather and Josh’s Leach Botanical Garden wedding in Portland Oregon. These two had to change their location last minute because of the Eagle Creek Fire in the Gorge. The location they were planning to be married had literally burned up and probably won’t be open for another year or so. Very sad, but then again, happiness beats sadness every time. It’s like when you’re really sad about something but then someone does something that is genuinely hilarious, you just can’t help but laugh. That’s because happiness wins.

So is the case with these two. They could have chosen sadness over this (and for other reasons) but they didn’t. I could say so much more about this, especially since Josh has been a long time close friend of mine, but then again, I can sum it up by saying it was a happy day indeed!

A huge thanks to one of my favorite planners in the business, Becky Hart, of Event Crush. She’s amazing. I highly recommend her, especially if you need to change your wedding location with two weeks notice.
